A hundred seats. Four weeks.
We’re keeping the first run small on purpose: few enough that we read every note you send, and what you ask for can be in the next build. You’ll be using Stub before anyone else.

Yours for good.
Everyone in the first run has their seat stamped on their reader’s card in Stub: First run, and the seat they took. It stays on the card, on every phone you sign in on, long after the App Store opens.
An icon nobody else has.
Stub’s golden ticket, stamped First run, for your Home Screen. It isn’t in the icon drawer and can’t be bought: only the first run can choose it.
When it’s full, it’s full.
The link takes a hundred people and then stops. Miss it, and the App Store is next.
When the run ends.
On Sunday 29 November the doors close to anyone new. Everyone in keeps their seat: new builds keep coming, and your drawer carries straight over when Stub is on the App Store.
Bring someone.
Know someone who never misses a film? Send them this page while there are seats.
Take your seat in two minutes.
On the iPhone you go to the cinema with. It needs iOS 26 or later: any iPhone from the iPhone 11 and the iPhone SE (2nd generation) on.
Get TestFlight.
Apple’s free app for beta testing. Get it from the App Store, if it isn’t on your phone already.
Tap Take your seat.
On this page, on your iPhone. TestFlight opens on Stub: tap Accept, then Install.
Ask for a seat.
Email us from the address you’d like it sent to. Apple’s invitation comes from TestFlight: tap View in TestFlight, then Accept and Install.
Open Stub.
Sign in with Apple, Google or your email, then keep your next cinema ticket. A paper ticket, a receipt, a Wallet pass or a screenshot all work.
Stay up to date.
A new build comes every week or so. In TestFlight, tap Stub and turn on Automatic Updates.
Tell us what you think.
It’s a first run, so some things will break, and that’s exactly what we want to hear. Everything you send is read by the people making Stub.
Take a screenshot.
Anywhere in Stub, take a screenshot, tap it, and choose Share Beta Feedback. Mark it up, add a line, and send. It comes to us with your iPhone’s model and Stub’s build.
From TestFlight.
Open TestFlight, tap Stub, then Send Beta Feedback. Good for anything that isn’t on one screen.
If Stub crashes.
TestFlight asks whether you’d like to tell us what happened. A line about what you were doing helps us find it fast.
By email.
Write to support@keepthestub.app for anything longer. One of us reads every email and writes back.
An idea?
Put it on the workshop table, where everyone can see what’s asked for and what we’re making next.
A ticket it read wrong?
Fix it with Correct what it says on the stub. If Stub offers Send its layout, that teaches it your cinema’s tickets, with your details blanked out.
What we see, and what we don’t.
TestFlight is Apple’s, so Apple decides what it shows us. Your stubs are kept the same way they will be on the App Store, as the privacy page says.
Who you are.
Joining by the link, you’re anonymous to us: Apple doesn’t show us your name or your email.
Who you are.
Invited by email, Apple shows us the name and email the invitation went to. We use them only to send it, and for your feedback.
How it’s going.
When you installed Stub, and any crashes. How many times you opened it, only if your iPhone shares analytics with app developers.
What you send.
Your feedback, your screenshot, and the iPhone and iOS it came from. Crop out anything on a ticket you’d rather not.
Never your drawer.
Your stubs stay on your iPhone, and in your iCloud if you keep them there. TestFlight never sees what you kept.
Good questions.
Anything else, the help page has the lot, or write to us.
Does it cost anything?
No. Anything you buy in the beta, like the icon drawer, is free there, and doesn’t carry over to the App Store.
Will my stubs carry over?
Yes. When Stub is on the App Store, install it over the beta and your drawer stays just as it is.
It says the build expired.
Each TestFlight build lasts 90 days, and a newer one is always out before then. Open TestFlight and tap Update.
Work at a cinema?
You’re very welcome. We’d love to know how tickets look from your side of the counter. Stub isn’t affiliated with any cinema.
Leaving the run.
In TestFlight, tap Stub, then Stop Testing, or delete Stub like any app. What’s in your iCloud stays there.
Who makes Stub?
Analogue Industries, a small studio in Auckland, Aotearoa New Zealand. You need to be 16 or older, as the terms say.
Take your seat.
See you at the pictures.
Stub is on the App Store next. Leave your email and we’ll tell you the day it is.
